#tbt “That Time We Were Featured on the Long Island Medium!”
Primelite Mfg’s #throwbackthursday moment this week is revisiting our guest starring role in the reality TV series Long Island Medium. While we did not commune with relatives and friends long gone, we were able to bring a beautiful glow to the face, and bouffant, of the Medium herself, Theresa Caputo.
In fact our vanity light fixtures, #4036 and #4044, take a starring role in the Medium’s newly designed dressing room, surrounding her vanity with flattering illumination.
You can see our fixtures prominently featured in the video and screenshots below.

Primelite continues doing our part to help promote dark skies with LED versions of our “Dark Sky Friendly” street lights. This week we’re taking another look at street light #1235. With LEDs nestled in the prismatic top, light faces down while avoiding any uplight lightspill. #1235 is available with either a LED40 (70w MH | 4,560 lumens) or LED52 (125w MH | 8,480 lumens) and fits any of our 3″ posts.
Together we can work to bring back the sky for future generations.
On the north shore of long Island New York, in a quaint coastal village called Northport, you will find a little Italian spot called Maroni Cuisine. With 4½ stars on Yelp, this is the place for fine Italian dining.
When you first arrive make sure to look up and check out the view above. High above the striped canopy you’ll find Primelite Gooseneck #20/850 once again on the job. And when the sun sets you can be assured that our #20/859 will be illuminating the way to your fine dinning experience.
Movie Premiers are a bright, noisy, and joyous celebrations. The premiere for the recently opened movie The Intern was especially bright as Primelite’s #40/19 walked the red carpet along with the movie’s stars, Robert DeNiro and Anne Hathaway. Dressed in its Glossy Black finest, #40/19 was basking in its guest starring glow as it helped illuminate The Intern to its box office heights. Do we see an Oscar in Primelite’s future? Inquiring minds want to know!

“Oh, who are the people Primelites in your neighborhood? In your neighborhood? In your neighborhood? Say, who are the people Primelites in your neighborhood? The people Primelites that you meet each day” *
Sometimes while strolling through the neighborhood have you been pleasantly surprised when running into “family?” On a recent stroll down one of the streets in our neighborhood, Freeport NY, we ran into some of our “family,” our Gooseneck light #20/850, brightening the local optometrists office. High above the glass, contacts and cases of South Nassau Eye Care you’ll find our Gooseneck lights illuminating the way. Primelite and South Nassau Eye Care. Helping Freeport see the light!
Once again Primelite has been spotted out in the wild. Next time you are passing through Wildwood New Jersey, check out a local establishment called Cattle ‘N Clover, a lively Irish-themed hangout serving steakhouse fare, and a wide range of whiskey & beer. And the next time you’re out for a cold one, don’t forget to look up as you enter the front doors and basic in the glow of Primelite Gooseneck #20/850. Your beer never shined so bright!

It’s happened again! One of our fixtures has had a guest starring role in the TV show “The Blacklist.” Our humble can Primelite #58 recently illuminated the scene in one of our favorite shows. While things are not always as they appear in “The Blacklist,” our #58 was the real deal. Lighting the way for this NBC hit.
Oh Hollywood you tease us! Starring alongside DeNiro, Damon and Jolie, our humble Primelite #39/19 makes a special appearance in the film The Good Shepherd. Once again we have been called upon to brighten the day, and night, of a major Hollywood film.
“The Good Shepherd is a 2006 spy film produced and directed by Robert De Niro and starring Matt Damon, Angelina Jolie and De Niro, with an extensive supporting cast…Although it is a fictional film loosely based on real events, it is advertised as telling the untold story of the birth of counter-intelligence in the Central Intelligence Agency.” *
